Anyone know of any affordable "start up" espresso packages?

I am thinking of opening a much needed cafe/lounge in my small town and want it to be as simple as possible. Would be great if I could just buy an "all in one" deal with the espresso machine, tools, grinder, coffee pots/pumps etc.

What espresso machine should I get?

What’s the best espresso machine i can get for around 0?
I know its not much, but I’m not too picky about coffee; I’ve been doing fine on a steam operated one, but would like a pump operated one

I’ve been looking at these two:

What is the best brand of pre ground espresso (Illy, LavAzza, etc.)? Can any of these be purchased in stores?

I have a DeLonghi pump espresso machine. I know that the best espresso can be made from recently ground beans but I cannot buy a good grinder at this time.

How can I decide which espresso machine to buy?

I’m actually asking for my wife who drinks iced cappuccinos every day. We bought a simple one as a starter, but she uses it every day and I think it’s time for an upgrade. I don’t know much, other than I need a water pump. The budget I had in mind was maybe 200-300 dollars.. plus a grinder..

Thanks

Coffee gurus needed! Best espresso machine for a college kid on a budget?

I am a college student, and I work as a barista to help pay for school. I’m entertaining the idea of buying my own small espresso machine, but I don’t really know what kind to get. I’ve only ever used restaurant-grade machines before, and I don’t know what to look for in a small machine. I want it to have a wand, and I want to be able to use ground coffee (no pods).

I see stuff about steam powered vs. pump-powered machines, and shamefully, even though I work in 2 coffeeshops, I don’t know what that means. It sounds to me like pump machines are more powerful than steam-powered ones, but I don’t know if that’s correct.

Also, I need the machine to be cheap…because minimum wage really doesn’t go all that far. So far I like the look of the DeLonghi EC155, which looks like it usually goes for around . Here it is:

Anyway, I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts, since I don’t really know what I’m doing.

Thanks a lot!

Espresso Machine?

Where can I find a decent home espresso machine for under ? I started with a mr. coffe steam powered long ago. Then purchased my first pump machine that puts out way too much water in the steam. It’s a Smarter Home Espressolux piece of crap. Then I gloriously found a briel at a second hand store for 10 miraculous dollars, only there was something inside the pump that was making my mochas taste like *-*-. I tried to clean it to no avail, and had to dispose of it. Please help me. I’m down in the dumps. If you know of a location online, or if you have one you would like to sell me, leave your contact info. I LOVE/NEED DRY STEAM!!!

If I buy a $30-$40 espresso machine, will I be compromising on quality?

I want to buy one of my good friends an espresso machine for Christmas, but I don’t have a whole lot of money to spend. If I buy a – model, will I be severely compromising on quality? How good are these machines? Here’s some of the machines I’m looking at:

Affordable Home Espresso Machine?

I am looking for an affordable upgrade for my current home espresso machine (a Briel First Class ES-13). Any recommendations for an affordable home system that can reliably produce good quality espresso? The machine I am looking for should:

1. Be a pump driven machine (no lever or steam pressure recommendations, please),
2. Cost under 0,
3. Not depend on "espresso pods" (if it is compatible with pods, fine, but I don’t want to be forced to use them),
4. Be easy to clean, and
5. Not be utterly ugly to look at.

Any accounts of your personal experience with the machine(s) you recommend would be great.

Yes, I already have a good burr grinder that can produce an espresso grind at home.

How can I use a 220V Lever Espresso Machine in the US?

I have a 220V pull lever espresso machine from italy. The lever machines have a heating element but no pump so there is no motor involved and no cycles to worry about. What would be the easiest way to use this machine. Should I just get a step up transformer?
